Hallo Frits,

here I have problems to understand the difference between SwA with cid and Swa with href...In the specs http://www.ws-i.org/Profiles/Attachment ... ing_swaRef I did't find anything.

What's more I cannot see the difference between MTOM and SwA...Both of them use the MIME Multipart Structure. I read that MTOM is better because the content is direct contained in the envelope (so that you can easier sign or encrypt it): but it's actually referenced exactly as in SwA case!

Could you help me?

Mtom and Swa are indeed very simular however there are some important differences, maybe this explanation helps:
