In the questions there is: "The container destroys the bean instance and the timeout method is called again on a different instance (unless it is a singleton bean)."
Because the question is about MDB there is of no sense in my option to use in question: "(unless it is a singleton bean") because it may be confusing. I would rather add this information to the explanation of the answer.
